Welingkar's Executive PGDM is designed for working professionals, to sharpen their business acumen and analytical skills, as they move up the corporate ladder.
The program aims at preparing a genre of T-shaped professionals - persons with domain expertise coupled with appreciation for the broader perspective of the organizational goals along with leadership qualities. The participants will acquire a definitive edge over others as they master the skills to handle unprecedented business situations resulting from the growing complexities and dynamics of the corporate world.
The program promotes an innovative approach, creativity and a design way of thinking in all aspects of business, in sync with the demands of the industry. The intensive curriculum with specializations like Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology & General Management compressed in the short duration enables an impactful second stint of their career.
Any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration with 50% in graduation and a minimum of 5 years relevant full time post qualification Managerial / Professional experience.
Should have taken CAT (2011)and /or XAT (2012) / and / or ATMA (Feb & June 2012) and/ or CMAT (2012). * Subject to Revision
Considering the program is targeted at working professionals'an April start for the program may be followed from the academic cycle in 2011 onwards. 2010 will be an exception.

Welingkar's part time Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program is a 15 months management course that provides accelerated learning experience that transforms high-potential managers into powerful leaders. This is an intensive program designed to enhance skills and capabilities essential for responsible positions at senior management.
Participants also obtain valuable insights from extensive interaction with their counterparts from other organizations on developments on management concepts and its applicability in the new global context. This program is designed for honing the skills of executives and thus contributing efficiently to organizations.
Graduate from any field from a recognized university in India/Abroad, with 50% in graduation and with minimum of 2 years managerial/ supervisory work experience.
The 15 months program will comprise of 4 trimesters. Each trimester will generally comprise of 75 working days. The first three trimesters have an average of 7 courses.
The program also includes a specially designed Integrative managers course coupled with a few sessions on situational analyses in the term 3. The Integrative Manager is specifically aimed at building analytical and decision making capability in a cross functional environment and develop holistic approach towards business.
The session will be conducted for 6 days in a week from 6 to 8.30 pm.
The trimester 4 will require the students to undergo a 45 days of internship.
Curriculum Design
The executive PGDM curriculum is designed to develop high potential professionals to achieve their career growth. It also helps development of case studies and identification of directions of research relevant for business and industry. It provides students with skills critical for the dynamic market for emerging times and insights, and abilities that gives them the flexibility to achieve success in the selected sector, industry, and functions in any business career they choose to serve.
The faculty members have distinguished academic achievements in different areas of management and the related basic disciplines and are actively involved in teaching, training, research and consulting. They carry out consultancy assignments to keep in touch with the real life management problems in public and private corporations, financial institutions, government agencies and international agencies. The in-class experience includes extensive interaction between the faculty and the students, personal communication and presentation skills enhancement, and team exercises. In addition to the in-class experience, there are various programs for continued growth, including a global internship programs aimed at bringing leading-edge practices and emerging topics to the students. The program is anchored on faculty research and expertise across various disciplines of management and draws participants from different organizations.

Pre-Term/ Orientation
The pre term is a week long/ fortnight long preparatory course to help students get acquainted with the new surroundings, new community, the courses and the delivery style at the Institute.
To act as Bridge courses (for students not exposed to subjects earlier) a orientation foundation course will be conducted during the pre term to induce the basic competence in Fundamental accounting, Business math, Economics, Computer literacy, communication.
