International Day of Yoga 2017 celebrated at WeSchool

Early morning Yoga session at WeSchool to celebrate International Yoga Day
For the development of inner peace, harmony and happiness for a balanced work-life

With PM Modi taking center stage at Lucknow, New Yorkers heading  to  Times Square in search of inner peace, Singapore hosting  its first ever  International Day of Yoga, the iconic Great Wall of Beijing  becoming a  venue for the yoga  sessions, Egypt lining up  several events across the country and workshops encompassing yoga, wellness practices and meditation techniques held across Mumbai made the International Day of Yoga 2017,a truly  inspirational mega-event celebrated across the globe.

S.P. Mandali’s Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management and Research (WeSchool) took the lead once again by celebrating   International Day of Yoga with its students, faculty and staff members this morning. The team got together under the leadership of Prof Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchoolto relive the moments of inner peace, balance and harmony. The young trainers from AMI Yogafamiliarized all participants from WeSchool in the finer aspects of the ancient Indian philosophy as they guided them through the various Asanas,Pranayamaand Prandharana meditation techniques during the one hour session at WeSchool.

“The theme for the 2017 celebrations, by United Nations, is ‘Yoga for Health ‘, thathighlights the holistic way in which Yoga contributes to an equilibrium between mind, body and soul. This approach to health and wellbeing can make a direct and useful contribution to our quest to achieve sustainable development and move towards lifestyles in harmony with nature”,said Prof Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, and WeSchool,a yoga practitioner, adventurer and sports enthusiast himself.

“Apart from a well-equipped Gym, WeSchool has set aside a large hall called ‘Nirvana’ for students, faculty and staff to make Yoga a part of their lifestyle and thus have made Yoga an integral part of WeSchool’s teaching-learning environment for the last 18years.As physical fitness leads to fiscal fitness, We look forward to inspire our young MBA students through our commitment for health through sports, exercise and adventure activities as well”, he added.
