Event Description
Event Description RUNBHOOMI, a student-run initiative launched by the IMPACT team in 2019, is a prestigious intra-college sporting event. This year, the fourth edition of RUNBHOOMI took place from February 21st to 26th, showcasing a vibrant display of athleticism and camaraderie across the college campus. The inauguration was done by respected Group Director Sir. The four-day event served as a platform for students from all academic programs to compete in a variety of sporting disciplines. Six exciting sports were featured, catering to a diverse range of interests :-
• Indoor Games Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Pool
• Outdoor Games Football and Cricket Venue TT, Pool, Carrom – Recreation Center Chess- Space Bar Cricket, Football- Battlefield Little Angels Turf, Sion JK Knowledge Turf, Vadala Thirteen categories were contested, ensuring a truly inclusive competition.
Each sport offered separate categories for men and women, with an additional mixed doubles category for table tennis. A unique element of RUNBHOOMI is the Batch of Champions title. Students from each program come together to form a unified team, combining the talents of seniors and juniors. These teams then compete against each other throughout the event, with the winning batch determined by the highest number of overall victories across all categories. This format fosters a strong sense of team spirit and camaraderie within each program.
The IMPACT team played a crucial role in organizing the event. Team IMPACT strategically designated a Batch Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for each of the 14 programs. These SPOCs acted as communication bridges within their respective batches, ensuring efficient registration across all 13 sporting categories. Following the registration phase, these SPOCs played a vital role in finalizing the event schedule through a designated drawing process and ensuring the availability of contestants at a particular time.
