Addressing at the event, Zee 24 hours and Chief Editor of Zee Marathi, Vijay Kuvalekar said that credibility is the foundation of nation building. But, today the question mark is being created on the credibility of the media. However, the media must use its power in the society, in national interest. This will build credibility and this is the basis of our existence.

Dinkar Gangal, Editor of Think Maharashtra.com; Sudhir Joglekar, President of World Dialogue Center, Mohan Dhavalkar, World Communication Center, and Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool were present on the dais.

Speaking at the event Dinkar Gangal, Editor of Think Maharashtra.com, said that due to the social media today credibility is being destroyed. It is difficult to understand what is worthy and what is inappropriate.

Addressing the attendees, Prof Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool said, “It is our honour to host the Devarshi Narad Patrakarita award ceremony that recognises the outstanding work of journalists. Today, media has a responsibility to keep each citizen apprised about truth beyond the headlines. Despite all odds, a journalist bridges communication between stakeholders for the nation’s progress. It is time we appreciate the Indian press for their reports, news and opinions on societal changes.
