WeSchool – Championing Rural Growth through Management Education

Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool with WE team.

At WeSchool, we have consistently studied the needs in Management Education so as to design new programs to suit a new league of talent in Corporate Inc.  Eight years ago, WeSchool identified the rising potential of ruralIndia and launched a niche program with a vision “to create corporate managers with Rural insights” in 2010.
A recent study says that the Rural India is set grow bigger in 12 years than the entire consumer market in South Korea. Putting those numbers in perspective, the FMCG market in Rural India is worth 200 BN USD. Infact rural Indian market outpaces the urban India. The growth is phenomenal with mobile phone market and economical internet data.
Riding on India’s rural growth wave,  WeSchool has been felicitated as ‘Champion of Rural Markets 2018’ for advocating ruralgrowth through Management Education, at The 6th Annual Economic Times,Rural Strategy Summit, Delhi.  #ETRuralStrategy WeSchool  Group Director, Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe along with the team of PGDM Rural Management faculty and students  received the prestigious award. Acheiving this milestone has been possible with the efforts from faculty, students, alumni and the WE Team, said Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe on accepting the award.
Through the mega conference The Times Group invited business leaders, marketers, and all stakeholders on a single platform to deliberate upon creating path-breaking rural strategies.The discussion evolved panel discussions on the exponential growth story of the Rural India.
The event was graced by Smt. Anupriya Patel , Hon’ble MOS for Health and family Welfare , GOI.  The key note address was delivered by Mr. Amarjeet Sinha , Secretary, Dept. of Rural Development , GOI. Shri Narendra Singh Tomar , Hon’ble Minister of Rural Development , Panchayati Raj and Mines , GOI, also addressed the audience.
