WeSchool commemorates the 2nd Anniversary of Surgical Strike, 29 September 2018

Col. Ravindra Tripathi, Joint Director (Publicity & PR), NCC Directorate, Ministry of Defence felicitated at the event.

The army at the border of India has protected our motherland with a sacrifice that is priceless. One such moment in the history of the Indian Army has been the 2016 Surgical Strike that makes every Indian heart swell with pride.

WeSchool organised an event for students on campus to commemorate the 2nd Anniversary of Surgical Strike on 29 September 2018.

Inspiring and addressing the WeSchool students was Col. Ravindra Tripathi, Joint Director (Publicity & PR), NCC Directorate, Ministry of Defence, who in person narrated the first-hand experience of the tense environment in the PMO during the strike. He shared various anecdotes around the life of the soldier and gave the students an insight on day to day life of a solider in various climatic conditions and their routine. The sacrifice made by our jawans at the borders, away from their home, in harsh conditions and hostile atmosphere, only increased the student’s respect for the heroes.

The session was followed by Q&A round with the students enquiring about whether the government is taking appropriate measures to help the soldiers, the future of Indo-Pak relationship and whether a peaceful solution could exist without any need for surgical strikes. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from the WE family.
