CII-AICTE Education Summit celebrating industry-academia collaborations, New Delhi
WE won the AICTE-CII IndPact Award for Best Industry-Linked Institute at Education Summit celebrating industry-academia collaborations, New Delhi. The award was an outcome of AICTE-CII Survey of Industry-linked Technical Institutes 2019.

An inspiration for teachers, our former President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam continues to be remembered among the campuses as an inspiration for knowledge. WeSchool students organise a cleanliness and beautification drive at Matunga - Central Railway Station
On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, a team of students and faculty of WeSchool volunteered to undertake a cleanliness and beautification drive at the Matunga Central railway station in Mumbai. The drive organised in spirit of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan and the Central Railway’s Community Day celebrations, raised awareness on the importance of cleanliness. As part of this initiative, the students and the faculty members engaged in cleaning the station premises, painting and beautification, trimming grass and other related activities. Smt. Ety Pandey, Chief Commercial Manager, Central Railway (Mumbai), Smt. Meena S. Santi, Station Manager, Matunga C. R. and team appreciated the students for the initiative.

The Computer Society of India, Mumbai Chapter and S.P. Mandali’s WeSchool hosted the CSI TechNext India – 2019 Conference & Annual Industry - Academia Awards
Creating a dialogue between the academia and IT industry was the one day conference in partnership with Computer Society of India (Mumbai chapter) and WeSchool, India’s leading B-School. Leadership from leading tech companies, noted academia and B-School students attended the event. ‘Technext’ has been CSI Mumbai chapter’s attempt to encourage and recognise IT teachers in engineering and B-schools for their innovative work. Over 80 professors were felicitated for their work to foster research; new pedagogical approaches; innovative solutions to real world problems and for creating an innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Padma Shri., Dr. D. B. Phatak was the Chief Guest at the event. -

WeSchool, India’s leading B-School empowered young talent from across 50 higher educational institutes’ in a regional mentoring session as a part of the Proof of Concepts (PoC) contest. An orientation session on IIC 2.0 and ARIIA 2020 by Institution's Innovation Council – MHRD, Innovation Cell was also held for faculty from higher educational institutes from Maharashtra and Goa. Around 110 students from North western region have participated in this nationwide PoC contest. At the inaugural ceremony, Chief Guest, Mr. Sanjay Inamdar, Chairman, AICTE start-up policy implementation committee and Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, S.P. Mandali’s Welingkar Institute of Management (WeSchool) inspired the youth with an advice on processing, decision making and problem solving skills. An energetic team led by Mr. Satya Ranjan Acharya, Associate Sr. Faculty of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India and Mr. Dipan Sahu, Executive Consultant, Student Startup Policy Implementation Unit, AICTE also the guest of honor addressed on topics of streamlining innovation and start-up ecosystem in Higher Educational Institutions. -

S.P. Mandali’s WeSchool campus joins the nationwide Yoga session on International World Yoga Day
Over the years, Yoga has been an integral part of WeSchool curriculum. Regular Yoga sessions are held for students, staff and faculty throughout the year. It allows everyone on campus, especially students to stay fit and relaxed. The session on campus joins the country-wide celebration on the International Yoga Day led by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

FIEO signs MoU with S.P. Mandali’s WeSchool for launching Post Graduate Programme on Foreign Trade Management (PGP-FTM)
The MoU was inked by Shri Khalid M Khan, Regional Chairman, FIEO (WR) and Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool. Through this MoU, FIEO and WeSchool collaborate with each other to initiate an Industry-Academia partnership; to jointly develop and deliver the Post Graduate Programme in Foreign Trade Management (PGP-FTM) which shall endeavour to develop the human capital for meeting the growing demand in International Trade ecosystem. The programme will broadly encompass the General Management Principles, Export Import Procedures, Foreign Trade Management Techniques and International Marketing Concepts. -

Over 650 students from the two-year full time PGDM batch from across eight programs eight full-time post graduate diploma programs were conferred the convocation certificates on the successful completion of the program by S.P. Consulate General of Sweden, Mumbai and WeSchool take action to make the internet more gender-equal
As part of the activity, WeSchool students came together in a Wikipedia edit-a-thon. The one-day workshop encouraged students to contribute to Wikipedia pages with information about women leaders, opinion makers and role models, to resonate with Sweden’s strong thrust on gender equality. -

Adding to the glory and sunshine of the day were two laurels bagged by S. P. Mandali’s WeSchool students. Ms. Alisha Maheswary, PGDM Batch 2017-2019 and Sweta Basu, PGDM Research and Business Analytics, Batch 2017-2019, WeSchool won in the best student award category at the hands of Dr. R.A. Mashelkar, President, Global Research Alliance, Former Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The Academic award jury recognised and honored the B-School for its excellence in management education for the year 2017-18. The award comes under the category of ‘Special Mention by Jury’. -

The recent convocation ceremony on WeSchool campus witnessed its graduating batch assemble in the Indian traditional attire paired with a specially designed Uttareeya. The event was graced by the presence of S.P. Mandali leadership. The awarding ceremony had renowned industry dignitaries and Prof. Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool, presenting the convocation certificates to the graduating 2016-18 batch of students for MMS (Masters in Management Studies) and Three Years Part-Time Master’s Degree Program in Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology and Finance of 2015- 2018 batch. -

WeSchool, Mumbai joins Smart India Hackathon as the nodal centre on 2nd and 3rd March
Over 180 students and mentors from across Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana competed to design tech solutions in the 36 hour non-stop Smart India Hackathon 2019 on S.P. Mandali's WeSchool, Mumbai’s only nodal centre. Participants from across Institutes in Delhi, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra win Trophies and Prize Money Rs 1, 00000 to Rs 50,000. Boosting student morale were WeSchool Inspiration Awards awarded to seven teams from across Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra and Telangana.
