“Business + Design” conference in association with WeSchool, Mumbai and UsabilityMatters.Org(UMO), a not for profit organization
The objective of any product design lies in its usability quotient. Designing the product right is taking precedence over merely manufacturing the right product. Today, Design thinking approach is inspiring businesses to relook at the product portfolio from the user’s perspective. Bringing together the various techniques and thinking processes in designing a product was the recently held “Business + Design” conference in association with S.P. Mandali's WeSchool, Mumbai and UsabilityMatters.Org(UMO), a not for profit organization on WeSchool campus, Mumbai. The one day summit aimed at inspiring product designers, marketing professionals and entrepreneurs to reach out to their consumers by empathising to their needs through product/service design that solves problems and adds convenience. The conference also witnessed the inaugural of ‘Dmagics’- Design for Management and Growth in Corporations and Society Exhibition by WeSchool to showcase socially beneficial innovative business concepts developed by its students. -

WeSchool welcomes the changemakers
With an objective to inspire students to become changemakers in life, WeSchool and New India Junction, a youtube channel for the change-makers of today and the leaders of tomorrow, organised an open mic on WeSchool campus, Mumbai. The event can be well summed up in the words of Rouble Nagi, known for bringing Art to life through Misaal Mumbai. She mentions that while it’s important to earn money for a living, it is important to help the underprivileged. It is important to be a listener to friends, family or a poor person and step in as an initiator to make a change. In a nutshell, the session motivated the young talent to make a difference in the direction of a societal change. -

Inaugural of India - Sweden Nobel Memorial Quiz 2018
The 'We' philosophy has inspired us to jointly collaborate with Consulate General of Sweden and Mälardalen University for a host of student initiatives on WeSchool campus. Events such as Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2018, Swedish design exhibition 'Design for Dignity' and photo exhibition 'Access Abilty', have become avenues for a socio -cultural exchange and knowledge driven opportunities.

CII 4th Higher Education Summit 2018, 4th edition of the Higher Education Summit
The central theme of the summit ‘Disrupt or Get Disrupted’, invited academia, government and senior HR leaders to relook at higher education amidst technological advancements. The summit was chaired by Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Chairman, CII Western Region, Higher Education Sub-Committee, and Group Director, WeSchool. The panellists discussed topics such as, ‘Voice of Stakeholders: Expectations and Responsibilities’, ‘Technology Disruption & Future of Work’, ‘Collaboration, Co-creation & Incubation’, ‘Role of Self for the Future of Education’. 288 students from all over India compete in the 36 hours non-stop #SmartIndiaHackathon2018 today, 30 March and on Saturday, 31 March on WeSchool campus, Mumbai
WeSchool, Mumbai, was proud to collaborate as the only nodal centre in Mumbai for the Smart India Hackathon 2018, Software Edition on Friday, 30 March and Saturday, 31 March 2018 on WeSchool campus. Each student group applied their technical knowledge to solve a problem statement and develop software solutions for improving governance and quality of life. The problem statements were be given by Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. -

WeSchool IMPACT - Play to Win
IMPACT (Inter MMS PGDM Annual Cricket Tournament), a two-week flagship event of S.P Mandali’s WeSchool geared in action. Ten business management schools across Mumbai battled the winning title. This year marked the 26th year of this annual event. As a special gesture to the infinity of women power, a women’s cricket was played with women taking to the cricket the pitch. Their performance was greeted with loud cheers from the audience. Mrs Sonia Kulkarni, the brave cancer survivor, an ambassador from "The pink Initiative" carried the show forward by creating awareness about ‘pinkathon’, an event to support breast cancer awareness, involving an awareness video and some fun-filled activities with the students. -

The Consulate General of Sweden in Mumbai in cooperation WeSchool inaugurated the Ung Svensk Form design exhibition in Mumbai today. It was organised by Svensk Form (The Swedish Society of Crafts and Design) in cooperation with ArkDes, IKEA, the City of Malmö and Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. The prime theme of the pieces in the exhibition was sustainability and circular economy. -

The annual two-day event Marathi Lit Fest 'Maifal' by Maharashtra Times and knowledge partner, S.P. Mandalis' WeSchool invited young minds and renowned authors, poets and poetesses, actors and theatre gurus like play director, Shri. Achyut Deshingkar to share their views on some of the most talked about topics in writing and media content. Some of the sessions that gripped the audience were 'web series- present and future' and 'Indian perspective, marketability, raising finance and content'.

It is yet another momentous occasion for all of us here at WeSchool and with great pride and joy we would like to share with you that, S.P.Mandali’s WeSchool has won the award for the "Best Management Institute (Pvt. Tier 1)" at 39th BMA (Bombay Management Association) Corporate Leadership Awards 2016-17 for Academic Excellence. WeSchool, India's leading B-School and Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) joined hands to drive the mission of UMED in the hinterlands of Maharashtra
WeSchool in collaboration with MSLRM introduced and acquainted women in 100 SHGs to basics in management education. Through a series of workshops, women started presenting their products with basic branding, hygienic packaging with nutritional information and shelf life dates. The trained women displayed their newly packaged products at 'Saras', an annual exhibition of products sourced from 250 SHGs from across India. They assessed market response for new development. MSLRM and WeSchool further initiated divisional training to 90-100 SHGs at Raigad, Nashik, Pune and Palghar thus creating sustainable livelihoods for rural women through home-grown/homemade products. -

#BeCyberAlert Responsible Netism’s Second Edition of National CyberPsychology Conference’
Keeping the current social media landscape in mind, WeSchool partnered as knowledge partner with team Responsible Netism for hosting its second edition of National Cyber Psychology Conference on 18 and 19 January 2018 at WeSchool, Mumbai. The conference aptly themed “Building Cyber Hygiene Culture” aimed to inform the role of adults as “Digital Guardians” in order to protect children from distress in cyberspace. The two-day panel sessions have over 45 speakers coming from across the country to address topics ranging from online radicalization, digital diarrhoea, child online safety – legal rights, gamology, responsible journalism, crisis management and law enforcement to cyber Care Giver. -

The three day 6th AIM - AMA Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium invited doctorial students to share their research about ‘’Marketing in a Connected World." Noted academicians from international universities participated in the consortium. The conference saw marketing leaders discussing the influence of digital technologies in marketing and also the academic scholarly work on this subject. -

WeSchool & CII ‘Academic Leadership Workshop: Changing Paradigms
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with SP. Mandali’s WeSchool as an Academic Partner organised the ‘Academic Leadership Workshop: Changing Paradigms. The two-day workshop was planned under the CII Western Region Higher Education Sub Committee agenda and aimed to create awareness in areas of learning and development as educators. The workshop objective was to equip the attending teachers, professors and principals to leverage the bar of education to the next level.
